Has Joe Biden opened the Pandora’s Box??????

Looking at the events unfolding in the last couple of weeks in the world, it is becoming clearer that the US agreement with Taliban has thrown the world into chaos and may take us back to the pre-industrial times of Khalifah regimes

As we all hear US president, Joe Biden in his media briefs on Afghanistan, I wonder if his age is impacting his decision-making ability, I was trying to comprehend why he choose to evacuate the US armed forces and diplomatic staff in such a hurry without any plan B and led to the situation now with normal Afghan people rushing to the gates of the Hamid Karzai airport for survival.

Blaming, Donald Trump for his decision to get into Doha agreement with Taliban is no excuse for the current crisis, Trump may have agreed for withdrawal of the US troops from Afghanistan, but the execution was entirely handled by the current political leadership, taking a step back, I could say, if Biden, has rejected or reversed some of Trump’s policies after he came to White House, why did he, not act similarly to think about the timelines for US withdrawal from Afghanistan.

                                       

I am quite astonished to witness, the political, intelligence and diplomatic failures to handle the crisis and Biden saying, “We will hunt you”, at a press brief after 10 US soldiers have lost their lives in the explosion at the Abbey Gate of the messy airport, only proves the point, this entire exercise has not got any serious attention it deserves.

I understand and appreciate the fact that it was becoming a large burden on the US Treasury to maintain an entire nation by paying for its governance as well as defense with nothing in return either economically or diplomatically, makes a case for withdrawal of US troops and reduce the cash bill, but it definitely does make sense to allow a Terrorist organization to take over the nation and create a Islamic Emirate, more critically, when such an extremist group has its tentacles across the continents in various names and forms, which has the ability to disturb the peace and cause pain to the major countries.

                                     

The entire western media which was selling the modern face of Taliban and their softer approach while taking over Kabul, streaming their press conferences with such fanfare, must also understand the dark side of these extremists. We are only watching what is allowed by the Taliban from the streets of Kabul and has no understanding about the brutality happening in the interiors and mountains. Taliban militants are hunting the people who have supported the previous governments and western forces is only the beginning and after watching some of the brutal Videos on the social media, we can only pray for the safety of the people living in constant fear.

With thousands of people eagerly waiting for their chance to move out of the war-torn nation only raises the question, whether Joe Biden has opened the Pandora’s box and released a kraken for the entire world to suffer? Withdrawal of US troops was a point to score in the US political arena, but this has caused a gigantic catastrophic event for the entire world, which will have to face the wrath of the known devil in the unknown faces. With increase in the refugee population in all neighboring countries as well in the European and western nations, creates pressure on the already depleted economies and presents new challenges arising from the Chinese Virus.

By allowing the mass movement of refugees in such a rush with no reasonable verification, we are taking of the risk of spreading such dangerous ideology to the places which were untouched till now. This situation will not only create problems for the leaders in governance, but most importantly creating nightmare conditions for the global Intelligence community, as nobody will be able to know or predict for sure in which part of the world, or in which form, the new threat is being planned by lone wolf warriors.

When they were indications of what may come with this change of rule in Afghanistan, the world leaders have allowed it to happen without any deliberation and planning. Taliban taking over Kabul with no resistance due to the American political pressure on the elected leaders and with the resistance from Panjshir valley lead by “Ahmed Massoud” and “Amrullah Saleh” getting no support from the developed and democratic leaders is taking the world back into



dark ages. I hope and pray some sane voices taking control of the current crisis, before the evil takes us all over………….
